Waterpark & Water Playground

Can I bring my own food?

Yes, you can bring your own food to the park, we just ask that you do not bring anything that is glass.

Can my child wear a life jacket on the slides?

No life jackets or puddle jumpers allowed on slides. You can wear water wings only.

Can I wear waterwings (floaties) on the waterslides, and do you sell them?

Yes, waterwings are permitted on our waterslides. We offer them for sale in our Admissions building.

Is there an age restriction to go on the Floating Water Playground?

Yes, under 5 are not permitted. Under 12 years of age they must be chaperoned. 12 and over can be unattended.

Do I have to wear a life jacket on the floating Water Playground?

Yes, everyone has to wear a life jacket.

Can I wear my own life jacket?

No, we require guests to wear one of our life jackets.

Do you have group gathering spots?

There is the upper shade shelter inside the fenced waterpark area.  Can only rent this spot during waterpark hours.

Is there a certain age or height to go on bigger slides?

There is not an age limit for our big slides, but Riders under 54” must be able to swim unassisted to use the Big Slides.  (water wings are permitted).

Can I catch my child when they come down the slide?

No, you are not allowed to catch your child as everyone needs to exit the pool after they come down the slides.

Can you fish in the lake?

Yes, you are allowed to fish at designated areas, you must have your own fishing license and it is catch & release.

What kind of fish are in the lake?

Pike and largemouth bass.

Are boats allowed on the lake?

No motorized boats allowed on the lake.

Do you have a restaurant on-site?

No, we do not have a year-round restaurant.  There is a Grill House that sells fast food during the summer when the waterpark is open.

Other food options are a 5 minute drive away in Cobden.

Onsite Accommodations

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, you are allowed to bring your dog if you are booking a tent site, RV site, cedar/rustic/bunkie cabins or a seasonal camper. Not allowed with deluxe cabins, rental trailers, one-bedroom suites & two-bedroom villas.  They must be leashed and cleaned up after them. They are not allowed in the waterpark, beach/lake, zip line areas.

Is there an area for my dog to run loose?

Yes, we have a fenced in dog run area.

Can you fish in the lake?

Yes, you are allowed to fish at designated areas, you must have your own fishing license and it is catch & release.

What kind of fish are in the lake?

Are boats allowed on the lake?

Can I bring a BBQ?

You can bring a bbq if you have a campsite or staying in a cabin. The rental trailers/villas/suites have a bbq.

Do overnight guests receive a discount?

Yes, overnight guests get a discount on the waterpark and zip line.

Can I access the Oaks of Cobden Golf Course directly from the resort?

There is no direct access to the golf course. You need to drive on the highway to 1st road (Kohlsmith Road).

Do you have a restaurant on site?

Can we bring our bikes?

 Yes, you can bring your bicycles and go on the property except no bikes in the waterpark, beach or zip line areas.

Are tents allowed with cabins and rental trailers?

You are allowed one tent at the cabins and rental trailers (would need to be a smaller tent as larger ones will not fit).

Where are the tent sites located?

Up in the bush area past the cedar cabins.

Can we bring our own firewood?

Firewood is available at the admissions building.  Outside firewood is not permitted.  Please visit Canada Food Inspection Agency website for further information regarding moving firewood and associated penalties.

Are the activities included when I book camping or accommodations?

No, overnight guests get a discount on the water park/zip line and can use the beach/lake, hiking trails.

Ziplining at Splash Valley

What should I wear?

Comfortable athletic clothing suitable for the temperatures that day, and close-toed shoes like running or hiking shoes. No sandals or flip-flops. Long hair must be tied back at all times.

Do I need a reservation?

Yes, reservations are strongly recommended. Although we do accept walk ups when our schedule allows, we have a limited number of harnesses and helmets and need to ensure we have equipment and guides for all participants.

Do I bring the waiver with me or can I complete one on-site?

You can complete the waiver once you arrive at the park. The Waiver will inform you of the potential physical risks associated with the activities. Anyone under the age of 18 must have their waiver signed by a parent or guardian before they will be permitted to start their activity.

What happens if it rains?

The zip line operates rain or shine. The only time we won’t go is if there is thunder and lightning, or really high winds. When this happens we close our courses until the bad weather has passed. Courses are closed for 30 minutes after the last thunder clap. Should your adventure be cancelled due to lightning or high winds, we will gladly re-schedule the remainder of your adventure for another date.

What are the age requirements?

There is a minimum age requirement of 9 years. Anyone under the age of 18 must have their waiver signed by a parent or guardian before they will be permitted to start their activity.

  • Minimum weight is 75 lbs (34kg)

What are the safety requirements?

Close-toe shoes are required such as running or hiking shoes (no sandals or flip-flops). Maximum weight: 250lbs (113kg). Minimum weight is 75 lbs (34kg). For safety reasons, pregnant women are not permitted on the activities. Guests need to demonstrate the ability to “self-rescue” during the orientation process. A self-rescue is when you hang freely from the safety line and pull yourself back up onto the platform. The inability to be able to self-rescue will mean the guest will not be able to proceed with the zip line course (a full refund would be provided).
